As a child, I never imagined that I would grow up to become an artist of any sort. When I was 6 or 7 years old, I wanted to be an astronaut…or a deep sea oceanographer. And while I had always enjoyed creating artwork, I later decided that I wanted to be a doctor. Even amidst the allure of Hollywood here in Southern California, it never dawned on me that I could turn my creative hobby into a career.
In retrospect, I wonder why it took me so long to finally arrive at that conclusion. By then I was already deeply interested in both filmmaking and photography and had been running my freelance production company on the side for over 3 years.
Luckily, I came to my senses and made the switch—and I couldn’t be happier that I did!
To me, the most exciting part about my work is that I get to become acquainted with such a broad spectrum of people. With every project comes a new experience. With every client comes a unique story. For someone who loves learning about new things and just doing creative things, this could not be a better playground.
Beyond that, it has allowed me the time to keep investing in friendships and continue building my ever-growing repertoire of hobbies. So while I’m not out producing a film or taking photos, you’ll find me at home cooking and sharing a meal with friends, practicing calligraphy, or carving a wooden spoon out on the front patio.
Creativity is a piece of my story that I just can’t seem to run away from. I've decided to embrace it fully and I’d love for you to be a part of it!
